Melia joined Through Life Physiotherapy in early 2025 after completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Federation University Australia in 2024. With a passion for enhancing health and wellbeing through physiotherapy, Melia has a particular interest in sports and fitness, as well as paediatrics, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions. She is dedicated to making a positive impact on her clients’ lives by using evidence-based, tailored treatment approaches that address their unique needs.
Central to Melia’s practice is her focus on collaborating with clients to develop patient-centred, goal-oriented treatment plans. She believes strongly in empowering her clients to take an active role in their recovery journey. Regardless of the condition, Melia approaches each case with enthusiasm and determination, always striving to provide the best care possible.
Her background in sports has greatly influenced her physiotherapy approach. Growing up with a passion for sports, Melia developed a deep understanding of the physical demands athletes face. During her studies, Melia gained valuable hands-on experience working as a sports trainer for the 2023-2024 senior premiers at Buln Buln Football Club, where she was involved in on-field and off-field injury management.
A strong advocate for ongoing professional development, Melia is currently expanding her skill set by completing both introductory and advanced dry needling courses. This commitment ensures she can provide comprehensive care to her clients.
A local to the area, Melia has always felt a strong connection to the community and a love for active living. In her free time, she enjoys playing netball, achieving personal fitness goals, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. Melia thrives on challenges—whether pushing her limits in fitness or pursuing new career milestones. She is always working towards something new and exciting.
With a balanced approach to work and life, Melia is eager to continue learning, growing, and contributing to the health and fitness sector.
